One of the most popular marketing ideas in online stores is activating a system of automatic discounts that change based on many variables such as the size of the products inside the shopping cart, and the total value of the order made by the customer.
In automatic discounts, you can apply variable discounts depending on the action taken by the customer inside your store. For example, discounts can be provided to visitors from a specific country rather than from other countries.
In this article, we will present to you a practical explanation of some WordPress plugins that activate the system of automatic discounts or variable prices based on the various factors that we provide. We determine the case in which the discount is applied, and then we determine the value of the discount that appears to customers.
Activate the store’s variable price system
By adding Dynamic Pricing, you can create variable discount rules based on the various actions that customers take within your online store. It certainly has a lot of options and variables in its paid version, but the free version is sufficient to apply some variable discounts according to factors that you specify.
Immediately after installing the add-on and activating it on your store, the settings tab for the add-on appears inside the toolbar in the WordPress control panel, which when you access it opens the settings page to which we can add discounts and their conditions.
Through it you can add variable discounts easily from within the add-on control panel, where we can click on Add discount rules to open a page containing the details and conditions of the discount that we want to apply, where we can apply many conditions and cases in which the discount is applied as well as cases in which it is not applied. Apply the discount:
As you can see in the picture, once we enter the ( Add Discount Rules ) tab, the page opens for us through which we configure the discount terms and rules.
1- You write the discount address and this address appears on the shopping cart page when the discount is applied to the order value.
2- You choose the type of discount you want to apply, and there are options you can choose from. The first option is a value ( fixed ), which is a fixed value that you specify for the discount, such as $10, and the other value is ( percentage ), in which you specify the discount as a percentage of The value of the asking price, such as 5%, 10%, and so on.
3- You write the discount value in numbers, whether you choose the discount to be a percentage or a fixed value, as this value will be applied when completing the order automatically without your intervention.
On the same page, we follow the other data that you specify in order to control the conditions of the discount and apply it on specific dates only or for it to be limited to specific times during the day such as the morning or evening period or other variables that we know about:
(4) is an option in which you specify the start date of applying the desired discount. For example, you can schedule discounts to be applied on days or months that you specify. You can specify the start date of applying the discount, as well as the end date of applying the discount in option (5).
(6) It is a useful option that is quite useful if you want to apply discounts at certain times or periods of time. This option can be used to apply discounts during the period when the number of visitors to the store decreases, and thus this procedure helps you attract more clients and customers to benefit from the discounts in The times you specify.
(7) It is a button to start or stop the discount. You can start or stop the discount through this button at any time you want.
(8) You will find the discount message, which is a message that you write to appear inside the individual product page, where it appears next to the product image or the Add to Cart button, where customers can read and see this message next to the product, and thus you can motivate them to add more products to the cart to get the discount. .
(9) You can choose the option (Includes) so that the discount includes products that were originally discounted within the store, and you can choose the value (Does not include) so that this discount is not applied to products to which a discount was previously applied within the product editing page in the store.
We now come to the most important step of all, which is the conditions and conditions for applying the discount that you have set. You can choose several conditions and conditions under which the discount can be applied:
You can choose a specific country by selecting the condition ( country ) and then writing the name of the country from which you would like to apply the discount to visitors. Let it be the country of Egypt, for example, where when a person from Egypt enters the store and orders the product, the discount notification will be shown to him when the order is completed. :
In addition to the country, you can choose the product by writing the name of a product or group of products so that the discount will be automatically applied to it when added directly to the shopping cart:
You can also choose the value of the purchases in the basket to determine the discount based on it, as the following image shows, where we chose the value of the shopping basket as a condition for applying the discount, as the order value must be equal to $50, and therefore when the order value reaches $50, the discount that we created will be applied accordingly. Automatically upon order completion:
You can apply discounts to some or a group of the store’s customers only and not to other customers, by choosing the condition ( user ) and writing the name or names of users registered in the store to apply the discount to them only and not to others:
You can add more rows to double the discount conditions, such as the visitor being from a specific country, and at the same time the value of the order is a specific amount that you specify:

The first applies a discount to all the store’s products without any conditions, the second provides a discount on different quantities of the store’s products, and the third provides a discount based on the value of the shopping cart.
Next to each discount template, you can copy it completely, delete it, or click on the edit button to open the discount editing page, through which you can modify the discount terms, value, scheduling times, and many other options:
